Meet Dr. Milan Yazdani
Being a dentist allows me to connect meaningfully with the community I live in. It allows me to understand better how we are interconnected members of the same human family, though we come from diverse cultures and have our own experiences. I appreciate the uniqueness of each patient and am honoured when they allow me to become part of their life story.
In the more than 20 years since I opened Yazdani Dental, I have met many fascinating people and had the opportunity to get to know them as individuals. I treasure those connections and the relationships we’ve grown over the years. It’s exciting to renew friendships during visits and hear what’s happened since the last time they were in.
I am particularly humbled now to be caring for the children and even the grandchildren of some of my earliest patients. To be trusted with generations of smiles is a wonderful gift, and I thank my patients for it.
Our Practice
My team and I have created a relaxed and friendly environment, full of laughter and smiles. We share a common vision of service that puts the patients’ comfort and needs at the forefront of everything we do.
My team is the bedrock of the practice: They have a high level of expertise, are passionate about dentistry, and are genuinely interested in our patients’ well-being. They love to educate and empower our patients, and assist each to achieve the healthiest, most wonderful smile!
Education and Professional Associations
- Huron Heights Secondary School, Newmarket
- Bachelor of Science – University of Toronto
- Doctorate of Dental Surgery – Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland, Ohio
I believe continuing education is essential if I’m to continue providing the highest standard of dental care. I stay current on developments in technology and treatment options through conferences, lectures, and seminars. I also study the latest research discussions in refereed journals and other publications, and am a member of the Aurora Dental Study Club.
In addition, memberships in the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario and the Ontario Dental Association enable me to learn from leading practitioners in the field.
Giving Back
I’m engaged in various community-building initiatives aimed at empowering friends, neighbours, and colleagues to take care of their own spiritual, social, and intellectual development. These initiatives include devotional gatherings, study classes, and social-action projects. I also volunteer at the Inn From The Cold homeless shelter.
Beyond the Practice
I was born in Iran and moved to Canada when I was 17. My wife Liisa and I have been married since 1995. Our children, Alexandra and Joseph, are both studying at university, and we enjoy our time together when they’re home.
Outside of work, I love to play golf with family, friends, and patients. I also enjoy badminton and all outdoor activities.
